PHARES - April 4th, 5th & 6th, 2008
Jeff will be teaching the carving of a double headed
bust from a basswood blank using hand tools and a knife. He will
also demonstrate his finishing techniques. Most students will
finish or be close to finishing in this three full day class.
You will work hard, but have fun and be pleased at what you
create.

KIRT CURTIS - May 2, 3 & 4, 2008
Carve a realistic grizzly bear from
a basswood blank, using both hand and power tools. Kirt will teach
his unique style of burning to simulate fur. He will also
demonstrate his painting techniques to create realism in your
carving. You will leave with a treasure to be proud of.

DENNIS THORNTON: CARICATURES 7/14 & 15/2007
Students were given a choice of two law
enforcement officers, a funny lifeguard or a happy beer drinker
mit der leider hosen. There was two days of intense carving, but
with a lot of laughter. Everyone was so pleased that we have asked
Dennis to return in October to carve Christmas ornaments. Check
back for the exact date.?

In this one day 2 part class students carved
in the morning with Dennis and painted in the afternoon with Sue.
Twelve happy students left with at least one beautiful ornament
and a big smile.?
